Recent Excavations at Limyra in Lycia
This intervention will present the recent research in Limyra/Lycia by the Austrian Archaeological Institute. After a short introduction to the site and the highlight of previous excavations such as the heroon of Perikle, the Ptolemaion and the centotaph for Gaius Caesar, it will focus on the results of a research project that investigates the urbanistic development of the city mainly during the Hellenistic and Early Roman Imperial periods.
