PACEA (UMR 5199 CNRS - UB- MCC)
PACEA (“from Prehistory to Present Time: Culture, Environment, Anthropology”, dir. Anne Delagnes) is under the regulation of the CNRS’ INNEE Institute, the University of Bordeaux and the Ministry for Culture and Communication. It is also associated with the Institut national de la recherche archéologique préventive through a framework convention.
It is composed of 2 teams (team A3P: Anthropologie des Populations Passées et Présentes = Anthropology of Past and Present Populations ; team PPP: Préhistoire, Paléoenvironnement, Patrimoine = Prehistory, Palaeoenvironment, Heritage). The research carried out by PACEA’s teams deals with Man, his biological or cultural evolution, his behaviour, the relations between these processes and the evolution of physical, biological environments and of climate.
