A multidisciplinary study on the most important and hitherto unseen site of the historical Caria. Eurômos, a largely populated area from 2nd millennium BC until the end of the Byzantine period was a regional centre, at the heart of the struggle between Hellenistic and prosperous sovereigns during the Roman Empire. This project brings together the three joint research units of the Cluster of excellence and other French teams. The collaboration with a Turkish team in the new national scientific and academic context is the founding of the project and represents a unique opportunity to fully explore the site and its territory for a better understanding of ancient Carian culture. The research also aims to set up an exceptional promotion programme of this culture, especially of the temple of Zeus which is currently one of the most preserved in Asia Minor.
